TKW Newsletter : Focusing in on your intentions
Tēnā koe e hoa 👋
It’s hard to believe we’re only 7 weekends away from Christmas - are you on the countdown already too? For some, now is the time when you consciously start to wind down, wrapping up projects. For others, it’s the time to ramp up as summer hits us. Whichever camp you sit in, our advice to you is this.
Lead out each day with intention.
When we lead out with intention, we ensure that the things that get done, matter, and the things that matter, get done.
You can do this by asking yourself each morning, if nothing else gets done today, what will I accomplish?
Give it a go x
In this newsletter we’ve got:

📰 Spotlight: Building financial wellness with Money Coach, Cat Rikihana
Ko Cat Rikihana tēnei. Cat is a Money Coach dedicated to working with clients in a holistic way to improve their financial wellness. Cat has whakapapa connections stretching from Ngāi Tahu to Holland, and is one of our ten participants in the TKW six-month business development programme. Having spent many years working in the financial mentoring and budgeting space, Cat found training as a Coach to be the perfect addition to her kete, to be able to work with the whole client - so much more than a spreadsheet or two. |
💼 Rakahinonga Entrepreneurship Roadshow
One of the many kaupapa that we jump on board to support has just kicked off - Rakahinonga : Entrepreneurship Roadshow.
Thanks to the team at Tapuwae Roa, entrepreneurs around the mōtu are attending a day of ideation, business exploration and connection. If you know our founder Amy, you’ll know when she and Saara Tawha get together, they can pack a whole lot of learning in to one day!
Last weekend they were hosted by our mates NGEN-Room in Whangarei, this weekend they’re off to Tāmaki Makaurau, before Saara rounds off the year with visits to Hamilton & Dunedin (while Amy and her whānau sneak away for a sunny holiday!). There’ll be a bunch of new locations announced in early 2024.

📖 Spotlight: Nuku Women
The Book.
The Podcast.
The Movement.
Last Christmas, we were gifted a copy of the book Nuku Women, and it very quickly earned the “easy to reach” spot on the bookshelf. Incredible stories of 100 kick-ass indigenous women, shared by Qiane Matata-Sipu.
On a recent trip up North, our founder Amy loaded up the Nuku Podcast from episode #1 and tuned in to Qiane and the Nuku Women over a few days of driving. If you’re looking for some inspiring, motivating, thought-provoking kōrero, these are a must to listen to.
Of course we’re oodles proud too, because our TKW Coach, Lizzie Dunn is a Nuku Woman, #47 to be exact!

Head over to take a read, buy the book, or listen in to the Nuku Podcast - whatever you do, support the kaupapa because these wāhine are our vibe, and Qiane’s mahi is so worth celebrating.
Ngā manaakitanga,
