TKW Newsletter : Ka whakanuia te wiki o te reo Māori
Kia ora e hoa 👋
Ko Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori tēnei!
But we’re sure you knew that already 😄 There’s loads of amazing resources, people, spaces and activities sharing the kaupapa this week, and we want to ensure is that our reo is not just a one week in 52 thing. It’s an everyday thing - ia rā, ia rā!
One of the things Amy is looking forward to this week is attending a class at her gym, BFT Te Awamutu that’ll be coached fully in Te Reo Māori - Mīharo!
We’ve pulled together a fun list of “cool things worth sharing” below, that you can check out for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. It’s a lengthy one today, might require a second kapu tī, but it’s all good stuff!
Karawhiua!
In this newsletter we’ve got:

Some of the must have books on the book shelf include:
Anything Scotty Morrison - Māori Made Easy, we particularly love this version in our whare - Māori at Home;
Kuwi and Friends Māori Picture Dictionary - this is a fantastic book for the whole whānau, our copy is well used and full of post it notes!
Have you got a copy of NUKU : Stories of 100 Indigenous Women? It’s well worth a read, and it includes one of our TKW Coaches - Lizzie Dunn!
